Creative writing and beatboxing with Natty Speaks
Nathaniel Sobhee, also known as Natty, is a London-based alternative hip-hop artist, qualified youth worker, teacher, and Level 6 business assessor with over 20 years of experience in community-based work. Known musically as NattySpeaks, he combines thoughtful, socially conscious lyricism with activism, blending spoken-word–influenced rap, freestyle performance, and beatboxing to explore themes of identity, society, and lived experience.

Before dedicating himself fully to community work, Natty toured across Europe as a TV presenter and rapper. He has since built a career centred on grassroots initiatives, particularly supporting refugees, disabled communities, and neurodivergent and autistic young people. In 2006, he was appointed a Prince’s Trust ambassador in recognition of his contribution to community engagement.

Nathaniel is the co-founder of Levelling The Field, an initiative launched in association with Glastonbury Festival in 2024 to support disabled young adults find work in event production. The programme has since expanded to work with Brockwell Live. His wider work includes collaborations with government bodies, the NHS, educational institutions, and workshops funded by organisations including Red Bull, Sony, and Universal Music Group.

As NattySpeaks, he has performed at major UK festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Boomtown, and Nozstock, earning a reputation for engaging, high-energy live performances. Active on Instagram as @nattyspeaks, he continues to use music, performance, and community work as platforms to promote awareness, inclusion, and positive social change.
